We invite you to explore your mental and physical balance through a unique retreat that combines Yoga and Pilates on the beautiful island of Aegina. Aegina’s shores, washed by clear waters, are home to impressive neoclassical buildings that reflect its rich past. Here, amidst olive groves and vibrant villages, time slows, and the soul finds refuge, enveloped by the island's enduring grace and serenity.

A Yoga and Pilates Immersion

Give your body the time and space to reconnect with its true essence. Find your center and emerge from this retreat physically and mentally stronger than ever before.

Pilates addresses underlying structural imbalances, strengthens muscles, and enhances overall body awareness and physical equilibrium. Yoga, through the harmonious connection of breath and movement, nurtures your spiritual well-being, fostering mindfulness and inner peace.

We will begin each day with an energizing morning Pilates session, utilizing various props and tools to strengthen the body and prepare it for the evening yoga class. Each Pilates session is designed to target a specific focus area, enhancing strength in key muscle groups to effectively support your yoga practice later in the day. The evening yoga class will mirror this structured approach, concentrating on essential skills such as backbends, arm balances, flexibility, and inversions, among others. At the end of the Yoga class you will enjoy a deep relaxation combined with meditation and breathwork.

Meet the Teachers

Marilena Lerchl, Yoga Instructor

After a decade of dedicated practice, Marilena completed a 200-hour Hatha and Ashtanga training in India and has been teaching in Berlin since 2023. Her teaching style offers an unconventional approach to Hatha Yoga, integrating elements of Vinyasa flow and Ashtanga. Marilena’s classes are dynamic, playful, and occasionally surprising, focusing on building strength, flexibility, and balance. Marilena frequently travels to India, where she explores various styles of yoga. As a modern yogini with a hands-on approach, she brings a wealth of experience from high-pressure business environments, understanding what it takes to stay mentally and physically balanced. Marilena loves to assist during class and to allow her students reach deeper levels in their asanas.

Chloe Maggalousi, Pilates Intructor

Chloe was born in the U.S. and studied Pilates under Mr. Michael King who was a student of one of the first students of Joseph Pilates himself. Chloe has been living in Athens for the past 10 years working as a Pilates instructor in both Pilates studios and gyms. Her classes are either on the mat using Pilates props or on the Pilates reformer or candillac. Her main focus is core strength and activation or the ‘Powerhouse’ better known in the Pilates theory. Alignment and posture awareness are also some of her main focuses.​ In addition to her Pilates teaching, Chloe is also in her second year of physical therapy studies and one day soon is planning to combine her studies and her love for Pilates, to help people with chronic muscle disorders.

Villa Terra Casa

Terra Casa Villa lies on a magnificent hillside especially protected from the wind, with a heavenly view to the Argosaronic Gulf and the colorful sunset. The unique location of the villa offers our guests privacy as well as convenience since the villa is located only a few kilometers away from the cosmopolitan town of Aegina and 8 min by car from the beach. The Villa’s indoor space is magnificent with a spacious kitchen, an ample living room and many areas to relax and withdraw.

The Amenities

The Villa offers a beautiful outdoor area with lush gardens, a dining area with a wood fired oven, a big infinity pool 7.5m x 15m and enough sunbeds for our guests. There is also a cute outdoor cinema that can be used for movie nights. The sauna,  toiletries and towels can be used free of charge. If you wish a massage on-site, make sure to contact us via E-Mail, as soon as you book your retreat spot.

The Rooms

All bedrooms have been recently renovated, featuring new beds and mattresses. Several rooms include private balconies, and each bedroom comes with its own en-suite bathroom. The property offers six bedrooms with two single beds each, one single-occupancy bedroom with a queen-size bed, and a master bedroom with a king-size bed ideal for couples or friends, complete with a jacuzzi-style bathroom. Additionally, three bedrooms are located in a separate wing with an independent entrance and a shared living room and kitchen. In the shared area there is also a bedsofa. Each bedroom of the villa is spacious and equipped with a wardrobe for hanging clothes and storing personal items. Towels, bedsheets and toiletries are provided by the villa.

The Food

​All meals will be locally sourced and vegetarian, with an abundance of vegan options. Many traditional Greek vegetarian dishes are naturally vegan, with cheese served only on the side. Enjoy a hearty breakfast featuring homemade granola, fresh fruits, Greek yogurt, and honey, along with cheese, eggs, fresh vegetables, and artisanal Greek sourdough bread. Throughout the day, light snacks like fresh fruits, vegetables, and tasty treats will be available. Dinner will highlight Greek cuisine, offering dishes such as fasolakia (green beans with potatoes in tomato sauce), spanakopita (a spinach and herb pie), and wild artichokes with potatoes and carrots in lemon sauce, along with many other fresh, flavorful meals rich in vegetables, aromatic herbs, and olive oil.
