Our Concept

Evexia comes from the ancient greek word Ευεξία and means wellbeing. The ancient Greeks had a saying that was anchored in their culture and reflected in all aspects of daily life: Νους υγιής εν σÏŽματι υγιεί. It means that a healthy mind also needs a healthy body. Similarly, Yoga being an ancient form of practice, unifies the body - through asanas physical practice - with the mind, ultimately connecting the individual with the universal consciousness.

  • How does a day at the retreat look like?
Every retreat has a different focus and is located in a different country. For retreat-specific questions, please check the retreat section and daily schedule of the retreat you are interested in. All retreats offer two lessons per day, one in the morning and one in the evening. The first class usually starts at 8 am and the second one between 5 and 6 pm. The main yoga class lasts 75 to 90 minutes. Between the two classes, you will have enough time to relax, connect with other people, and take part in activities or other workshops that might be offered. We will turn off the lights at midnight to ensure that everyone gets enough sleep.
  • What is the food like and what if I have certain food allergies?
There will be two meals per day (vegetarian and vegan), one brunch and one dinner. During the day, there will be snacks and treats. You will have unlimited access to tea and coffee throughout the whole day. If you have any food allergies or intolerances, please make sure to inform us in advance. The food will be locally sourced and typical for the region of the retreat. We don’t encourage alcohol consumption during our retreats, so alcohol will not be offered.
  • Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, you can cancel your booking; however, you need to follow certain rules. Reimbursements can only be made up to 60 days before the starting date of the retreat. Unfortunately, we cannot accept cancellations after that time frame, as we take the risk and book locations, which requires a certain degree of certainty and planning. Therefore, any cancellation less than 60 days before the starting date will not be accepted under any circumstances. If you need to cancel your spot up to 90 days before the start of the retreat, you will get an 80% reimbursement of the total price. If you cancel less than 90 days before the start of the retreat, you will get a 50% reimbursement. If you cancel less than 60 days before the starting date, you will not be refunded. In the latter case, if there is another suitable retreat, we can move your booking to another date without any extra fees, and you will get a new retreat spot without losing your money.
  • How can I pay?
You can pay directly through the booking tool to secure your spot immediately. Alternatively, you can send us an email and pay via bank transfer or PayPal. A two-installment payment is also possible. In that case, to reserve your spot, 50% of the retreat fee is required to be transferred to our account. The remaining fee must be paid at least 60 days before the starting date of the retreat. If you fail to do so, the cancellation rules apply, and you will lose your spot and your deposit. All payments need to be made in EUR.
  • Do I need to organize the trip to the retreat location myself?
Yes, you need to book your flight or boat tickets yourself. However, we will help you with location-specific information through our welcome email. Depending on the retreat and country, there might be transportation options offered by the retreat.
  • Do I need to be an advanced practitioner in order to participate in a retreat?
No, you don’t need to be an advanced practitioner. Good teachers will always offer you several options to practice a certain asana in an easier way, depending on your level and experience. Retreats for advanced practitioners will be labeled as such.
  • What if I have a certain injury and I’m not sure if I can participate?
Please make sure to listen to your body and seek medical advice if you are not sure. Evexia will not be held accountable for any injuries that may happen during the retreat.
  • What should I bring to the retreat?
We recommend bringing comfortable yoga clothing, a yoga mat, a water bottle, personal toiletries, suncream, any necessary medications, mosquito repellent, sports shoes, a light jacket, a sweater, bikini or swimsuit, sunglasses, hat, book and a journal. Specific retreat locations might have additional recommendations, which will be included in your welcome email.
  • Are there any age restrictions for participants?
Most of our retreats are designed for adults aged 18 and over. If you are under 18 and wish to attend, please contact us for more information about our policies regarding younger participants.
  • What type of accommodation is provided?

In general most rooms are equipped with single beds and private bathrooms allowing our guests more privacy and ultimate comfort.
  • Is there internet access at the retreat location?
Internet access will be offered in all retreat locations. Some retreats encourage a digital detox and may have limited or no Wi-Fi access, however this will be clearly stated in the specific retreat section.

Depending on the retreat, you may be able to bring a non-participating guest. Please contact us in advance to discuss this option, as additional fees will apply.
